Rag week next week 26 - 30 Nov

Our Sixth Form will be running their traditional Rag Week this month, with events running all next week.  From Monday 26th to Friday 30th November there will be an activity every day, resulting in a non-uniform day with a students – vs- teachers dodgeball game on Friday 30 November, all in support of a charity that the students have chosen.  This year our Sixth Form students have decided to support a charity called ‘Abigail’s Footsteps’ and more information on this charity can be viewed on the link below.  We ask that you allow your son to bring in a small amount of cash every day to take part in the activities or to buy from the tuck shop, which will be open at break and lunchtime each day, and to also bring a donation of £1.20 to wear their own clothes on Friday 30th, all of which will be passed on to the charity.  Thank you very much for your support to this cause:

Once again this week!

Once again this week we are very proud to report about our students. Sixth Former Toby Clark on Saturday evening was invited to the coin exchange in Rochester to collect an award for Youth of the Year. Toby is very committed to his scouting and holds the position of deputy youth commissioner. He is also part of You Shape and has a role in Swale Pride running media and fundraising. Next year as part of his fundraising for his trip to the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia America he will be putting on another show. The last show raised £1300. Next year he is going bigger and better. He is a very committed young man and has helped raise a large proportion of the £15780 it will take to send the four Scouts. Two other students going are Ray Butcher from Y10 who also has been very committed and Harry Mendoza from Year 12 who also has been busy fundraising with his other six Gillingham participants.. Well done to you all!

We are very proud!

We are very proud to report that Y11 student Anderson Green was with The St John Ambulance Band on Saturday playing at the Lord Mayors Show in London. On Sunday he was on parade for Remembrance Sunday with 2316 Sheppey RAF Air Cadets and played The Last Post along with Y13 student Marcus Louch (Sheppey Sea Cadets) at the War Memorial (Cenotaph) in Sheerness. He then went on to play The Last Post at two other services in Leysdown and Harty (where he met The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Kent) with ex student Flight Sergeant James Crane. Well done!
